My Career Assessment Process:
My assessment for subject choice/career direction includes a combination of both Psychometric assessment and a Coaching conversation between myself and the client, wherein I use Coaching techniques to gain an understanding of who the individual is and what career direction s/he truly wishes to follow. Thereafter, I administer an appropriate battery of Psychometric tests according to the individual’s needs.
These assessments are analysed and reported back to the client as a means of gaining self-awareness and indicating career direction. Feedback to the client includes a detailed written report on my findings as well as the Psychometric results, and I make some recommendations based on these and what I learn from the client through the Career Assessment process. However, I would hope that the final career decision will always be made by the individual themselves, using the awareness and knowledge that they have gained from the assessment. Each individual assessment consists of an initial 3 to 4 hour session and an hour feedback session, which can be held with the individual alone or with other family members present, at the discretion of each client.
